Safeguarding Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Our duty
As a provider network operating in adult social care, we take safeguarding seriously. We follow the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Making Safeguarding Personal principles.
What abuse looks like
Abuse may be physical, sexual, psychological, financial, discriminatory, organisational, neglect or self-neglect. It can occur anywhere — at home, in care settings, or online — and may be carried out by anyone.
Reporting
If you suspect abuse or neglect of an adult at risk, contact the local authority safeguarding team immediately. In an emergency, dial 999. Our platform users must follow their own organisation's safeguarding policy and report concerns through their designated safeguarding lead.
Whistleblowing
We support staff and contractors who raise genuine concerns. Whistleblowing disclosures are protected under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998. Reports can be made confidentially to safeguarding@trmn.co.uk.
Safer recruitment
All managers and consultants placed through our platform must hold an enhanced DBS check (where the role requires it), and identity, right-to-work and reference checks are verified before placement. We follow the Disclosure and Barring Service code of practice.
Prevent
We are alert to the risk of radicalisation and follow the Prevent duty where applicable, signposting to Channel where concerns arise.
